History
Exalt Him
Fellowship (now Harvest Hills Community Church) was
founded in 1996 by a handful of families in
the community with the desire of
starting a Bible church in the village. Pastor Scott became bi-vocational
pastor of the church in 1997 and has continued that position ever since.
Initially, the newly founded Bible church was called Exalt Him Fellowship.
Then, in 2001, Exalt Him Fellowship became Clinton Evangelical Free Church after
joining the Evangelical Free Church Association. In 2006, with the hopes
of purchasing land in the Harvest Hills subdivision in Clinton, a permanent name
was chosen: Harvest Hills Community Church.
Harvest Hills
Community Church plays an active role with the other community churches through AWANA Club, Vacation Bible School,
Skylodge Christian Camp, and many other activities.
Harvest Hills is a
member of the Evangelical Free
Churches of America
and the Forest Lakes
District of Wisconsin.

Distinctives
-
We worship in a
contemporary, informal style, using traditional hymns along with contemporary
worship music.
-
We believe the
Bible is God’s word for yesterday, today, and forever.
-
We believe in
preaching and teaching with a Biblical and straightforward view.
-
We believe that
those regularly attending this church will be active and involved in the
ministry.
-
We believe that our
place of worship will remain simple in decor, so as not to distract from the
purpose of worship, which is to glorify God.
-
We believe that
anyone professing belief in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ
(Romans 10:9) with a sincere desire to live the Christian life is welcome to
participate fully in the life of this church.
-
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to
be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the
complete revelation of His will for the salvation of mankind and the Divine and
final authority for Christian life and faith.
-
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely
perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-
We
believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man having been conceived by the
Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as the sacrifice
for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the
dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Divine Majesty on
High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
-
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to
glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict mankind,
regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the
believer for godly living and service.
-
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God but
fell into sin and is, therefore, lost and only through regeneration by the Holy
Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
-
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His
resurrection provide the only ground for salvation for all who believe, and only
such as receive Him are born of the Spirit and are children of God.
-
We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s supper are
biblical ordinances which should be observed during the present age. They are
however not to be regarded as means of salvation.
-
We believe that the true Church is composed of all such
persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the
Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ, of which He is the
Head.
-
We believe that only those who are members of the true
Church, the Body of Christ on earth, shall be eligible for membership in a local
church.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the
Church and that every local church has the right, under Christ, to decide and
govern its own affairs.
-
We believe in the personal pre-millennial and imminent
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing
on the personal life and service of the believer.
-
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the
believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to
judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
